Squad is still in early development, therefore the final system requirements for the retail release of Squad are subject to change. As optimization of Squad and its underlying engine progresses, Squad's performance will improve. Here are the current system requirements.

'Squad SDK' System Requirements[edit | edit source]
With lots and lots of content in the Squad SDK already, it is recommended to have at least 16 GB of RAM on your system to work with the Squad SDK.
If you're interested in contributing to Squad (create models, maps, ...), you can download the Squad SDK for free via the Epic Games-launcher.

Remarks on Linux and Mac[edit | edit source]
Linux and Mac operating systems are not supported at the moment. However, the game engine under Squad, the Unreal Engine 4, will aim at supporting Linux and Mac. Hence, it might be possible that these platforms will be supported in the future.
